    1. 8,330 – Serena WILLIAMS born 26 September 1981 from the USA
    2. 6,500 – Angelique KERBER born 18 January 1988 from Germany
    3. 5,482 – Garbine MUGURUZA born 8 October 1993 from Spain
    4. 5,335 – Agnieszka RADWANSKA born 6 March 1989 from Poland
    5. 4,792 – Simona HALEP born 27 September 1991 from Romania
    6. 3,761 – Victoria AZARENKA born 31 July 1989 from Ukraine
    7. 3,656 – Venus WILLIAMS born 17 June 1980 from the USA
    8. 3,525 – Roberta VINCI born 18 February 1983 from Italy
    9. 3,010 – Carla SUAREZ NAVARRO born 3 September 1988 from Spain
    10. 2,900 – Svetlana KUZNETSOVA born 27 June 1985 from Russia

The number prior to the player’s name is their ranking points total. The rankings listed on this page will be updated every Monday in accordance with when the official WTA rankings are updated each week.

The exception is when a Grand Slam event or Indian Wells or Miami is on because those tournaments run for more than one week, so the rankings are updated after a fortnight just for those 6 tournaments each year.

  3. In 2012,things won’t be normal about strong players and weak ones coz the tide will change this year,where the winner will not be among top 4 players.this is a prophesy of. Doom for top seeded players.it will be INTERESTING. . . . .

  4. I like Caroline, but there’s no way I think she should hold the #1 ranking!!!!!!! She doesn’t even have a MAJOR TITLE THAT IS WHACK!!!!!!!
