Chennai Open Tennis 2012

The 2012 Aircel Chennai Open is India’s only ATP tennis tournament. In an effort to peak at the first Grand Slam event of the year the top players choose different paths in order to gain enough form and match play. The Chennai Open is one of four events that kick-off the 2012 season in the first week on January.

The Chennai Open is being held at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on blue Play Pave hard courts. The centre court is called the Nungambakkam Stadium and holds 5,800 spectators, the total prize money for 2012 is $450,000 and this tournament was first held in 1996.

This tournament is a men’s tournament classified an ATP World Tour 250 event. Chennai runs from Saturday 31 December through to the Men’s Singles Finals day on Saturday 8 January. The 2011 men’s singles champion was Stanislas WAWRINKA who defeated 2007 Chennai singles champion Xavier Malisse in the final 7-5, 4-6, 6-1.

  1. what are the chances of getting 2 or 3 tickets on 8th Jan. itself for the Final ????
    answer as per previous years experience and data….

    see, my problem is that i stay far away from Chennai
    i would visit Chennai only for Chennai Open Final or Semifinals..!!!
    For that i have to take risk, buying tickets on that particular day ( as provided by Chennai Open)…
    but, I want to know the chances for getting tickets…

    plzzz.. reply as soon as possible…
