Casablanca Open Tennis 2012

The 2012 Casablanca Open is one of only two ATP Tour tournaments on the African continent and is an ATP Tour 250 category tournament. The official name of Casablanca due to title sponsorship naming rights is the Grand Prix Hassan II.

The 2012 tournament is being held by the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Tennis at the Complexe Sportif al Amal in Casablanca, Morocco. The court surface is red clay, the centre court seats 5,500 people and this year is the 28th year of this event being held.

This tournament runs from Saturday 7 April to Sunday 15 April. The men’s singles qualifying event is being held on Saturday and Sunday April 7 and April 8. The main draw singles event runs from Monday 9 April through to the Men’s Singles Final day on Sunday 15 April. 

The 2011 men’s singles champion was the unseeded Pablo ANDUJAR who defeated No.5 seed Potito STARACE in the final 6-1, 6-2 to win his first ATP Tour singles title.
