The Chennai Open is being held at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and the court surface is blue Play Pave hard courts. The centre court is called the Nungambakkam Stadium and holds 5,800 spectators, the total prize money for 2013 is $385,150 and this tournament was first held in 1996.
Chennai runs from the first day of qualifying on Saturday 29 December through to the Men’s Singles Finals day on Sunday 6 January. The 2012 men’s singles champion was Milos RAONIC who defeated Janko TIPSAREVIC in the final 6-7(4-7), 7-6(7-4), 7-6(7-4) to win 250 ATP ranking points.
