The 2012 tournament is being held at the International Tennis Center in Umag, Croatia. The court surface is clay and the centre court seating capacity is 4,200. The Umag men’s tournament was first held in 1990 and is being run for the 23rd consecutive year.
This tournament runs from Saturday 7 July to Sunday 15 July. The qualifying singles event was held on Saturday through to Monday 7 to 9 July. The main draw singles event runs from Monday 9 July through to the Men’s Singles Finals day on Sunday 15 July.
The 2011 men’s singles champion was No.2 seed Alexandr DOLGOPOLOV who defeated the No.4 seed and local favourite Marin CILIC in the final 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to win his first ATP singles title.
