Munich Open Tennis 2012

The 2012 Munich Open is the first of five ATP Tour tournaments in Germany each year and one of 41 ATP Tour 250 category tournaments in 2012.

The 2012 tournament is being held at the MTTC Iphitos Complex in Munich, Germany. The court surface is red clay, the centre court seats 3,800 people and this tournament is being held for the 97th time this year.

This tournament runs from Saturday 28 April to Sunday 6 May. The men’s singles qualifying event is being held on Saturday and Sunday April 28 and April 29. The main draw singles event runs from Monday 30 April through to the Men’s Singles Final day on Sunday 6 May. 

The 2011 men’s singles champion was No.7 seed Nikolay DAVYDENKO who defeated No.5 seed and local favourite Florian MAYER in the final 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 to win his 21st ATP Tour singles title from his 27 finals and his second Munich title.
