The 2011 Zagreb Indoors men’s main draw singles matches begin on Monday January 31 at 12 noon local time in Zagreb, Croatia. There are 28 main draw spots divided up between 4 Qualifiers (Q), 3 Wild Cards (WC) and 21 Direct Acceptances.
The official name of the 2011 Zagreb event is the PBZ Zagreb Indoors due to title sponsorship naming rights. Zagreb is played at the Dom Sportova, which in English means the Home of Sports. The Centre Court is called the Ice Hall and it has a seating capacity of 5,500. The HEAD ATP tennis ball is being used and the courts are red RuKortHard hard courts.

In a 32-player sized draw there are 8 seeded players. There are 28 players in the draw, which means ONLY the Top 4 seeds have a BYE in the 1st round. The Top 4 seeds await the 12 winners of the 1st round matches. The last direct acceptance into the main singles draw is Jaroslav POSPISIL of the Czech Republic who was ranked at No.139 on the cut-off date. The cut-off date was 21 December 2010.
The 3 wild cards were awarded to Croatians Franco SKUGOR, Nikola MEKTIC and Antonio VEIC in a strong display of support by the Hrvatski teniski savez i.e. the Croatian Tennis Association. The qualifying tournament began on Saturday 29 January and will be completed today. As soon as the 4 qualifiers names are known they will be filled into the draw below.

Pictured above is the winner of the inaugural Zagreb tournament in 2006 Ivan Ljubicic preparing to move into the forward swing phase of this forehand drive. The 31-year-old Croatian achieved his career-best Grand Slam singles results by making the semi finals at Roland Garros 2006 and the quarter finals at the 2006 Australian Open.
The 1.93m Ljubicic has won 7 of his 10 ATP Tour singles titles on hard courts including his first MAJOR title at the Indian Wells Open last year. He achieved his career-high ranking of No.3 on 1 May 2006. Due to his current ranking of No.16, Ljubicic heads into Zagreb as the No.2 seed for the second year in a row.
