Australian Open 2013 Order of Play: Day 9

Li NaThe 2013 Australian Open singles events have just 7 men’s and 7 women’s matches to be played to complete the tournament. The best players this year will put everything on the line with the intense pressure and emotion to be emerge victorious. In this post OnCourt Advantage lists the order of play for the ninth day of main draw singles matches (see below) to make it easier for you to know who plays whom and when.

On Day 9 the top half of the men’s draw featuring Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer who are seeded and favoured to set up a semi final showdown against well and truly capable Top 10 opponents of upsetting the No.1 and No.4 seeds Tomas Berdych and Nicolas Almagro.

The bottom half of the women’s draw pits the more experienced and already Grand Slam singles champion Li Na (pictured above) versus the young star Agnieszka Radwanska with the 13 wins to zero losses and 26 straight set winning record in 2013. The player who is the most focused and consistently playing the highest level of tennis thus far at the Australian Open – Maria Sharapova in a rematch of the 2012 quarter final: Ekaterina Makarova.

The letters in brackets after each player’s name is the prefix for the country that player represents. WTA denotes women’s matches and ATP denotes men’s matches.
