Pictured above after making contact with the ball for this forehand drive is 2011 Wimbledon quarter finalist Bernard TOMIC. The 1.96m Tomic improved 87 spots from No.158 to No.71 with the 385 ATP ranking points he earned at Wimbledon by qualifying and then winning through to his first Grand Slam quarter final last year. The 19-year-old Australian narrowly lost the fourth set 5-7 to eventual Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic.

Tomic is currently ranked No.27, which is his career-high ranking to date and earning him a spot as a seeded player in the 2012 Wimbledon draw. The former ITF Junior boys World No.2, Junior Australian Open (2008) and Junior US Open singles champion sites grass as he favourite surface, so watch out for him at Wimbledon. Who will be the best performed qualifier at Wimbledon this year?
