Wimbledon Order of Play 2013 Day 7

The 2013 Wimbledon Championships order of play for Monday 1 July is listed below to make it easier for you to know who plays whom and when. For the singles draw there are 5 courts commencing at 11:30am and 2 courts i.e. Centre Court and No.1 Court beginning at 1pm tomorrow. There is no play today because as the first Sunday, or “Middle Sunday” as it is known, is a rest day. Wimbledon is unique amongst the Grand Slams as the only one to skip a day’s play.

Every singles match listed below is either a men’s or women’s 4th round match. The first day of the second week is the final day that men’s and women’s singles matches are played on the same day. The men’s, women’s and mixed doubles continue as well as the boy’s and girl’s junior Wimbledon Championships.

Pictured above at Wimbledon this year is 27-year-old Tomas Berdych with his eyes locked on the ball as he’s in the forward swing phase for this double-handed backhand drive.

Today Berdych plays the youngest player left in the draw the 20-year-old Australian Bernard Tomic who is gunning for his second Wimbledon quarter final already. The Czech will have dial in his return of serve, especially his backhand, which will be Tomic’s main target, to break the equally as tall and big Aussie’s serve.

The 1.96m Berdych achieves his firsts in Grand Slams at Wimbledon every three years, in 2007 his first Grand Slam quarter final and in 2010 his first Grand Slam final. A further three years on and now Big Bird is gunning for his first Grand Slam title.

To watch the tennis in Singapore you need to add 7 hours to the local time in London to work out the equivalent Singapore time.
