Wimbledon Semi Finals 2013 Women

Day 10 Thursday 4 July

The 2013 Wimbledon Championships women’s singles tournament has just three matches remaining, the two semi finals today and the women’s Singles Final this Saturday at 2pm.

Excitingly, the quarter final results ensured that a first time Grand Slam singles champion will be crowned this year. Of the four semi finalists, Marion Bartoli and Agnieszka Radwanska have played a Grand Slam final before, with both of them being a runner-up at Wimbledon. However, the lower ranked opponent for each of them has demonstrated the better form in beating the high profile stars to earn their shot at a Grand Slam title.

Pictured is the 27-year-old Kirsten Flipkens who was not even ranked high enough to gain entry into the qualifying event at Wimbledon last year. See her post match interview below after upsetting the final former Grand Slam champion in the draw, 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova.

The order of play for the women’s semi finals day is listed below to make it easier for you to know who plays whom and when. The semi finals are both played on the same court i.e. Centre Court and No.1 Court back-to-back.

To watch the tennis in Singapore you need to add 7 hours to the local time in London to work out the equivalent Singapore time.
