Wimbledon Victoria Azarenka Career

The Wimbledon career of Victoria Azarenka is detailed below in an easy to follow format for you. The 23-year-old Azarenka won through to her second straight semi final at Wimbledon last year, won her second straight Australian Open this year and set a career-best semi final result at Roland Garros this month. Provided her knee doesn’t hamper her court coverage and movement, a Wimbledon title this year is on the cards.

In Azarenka’s 8th Wimbledon her career Wimbledon record improved to 21-7 with her 1st round win. The 1.83m Belarusian has a 1-4 win-loss record against Top 10 players, won 19 matches without dropping a set and a 3-3 record in tie breaks.

Four of her seven losses have been at the hands of Serena Williams and Petra Kvitova (twice each). The Serena match-up is only possible in the final, whilst a Kvitova-Azarenka rematch could be in the quarter finals.

Each year is listed from the most recent through to his very first appearance in 2006 as the World No.101. The round she played, her opponent and the ranking of her opponent at the time of the match plus the final score are ordered from left to right. “W” stands for an Azarenka win and “L” marks her losses. At the end of each year at Wimbledon a summary details what she was ranked at the time and the prize money she earned that year.
