Wimbledon 2015 Schedule of Play: Men

Novak Djokovic at WimbledonThe 2015 Wimbledon men’s championships are the 130th time the Wimbledon men’s singles tournament will be held.

The dates, what the schedule of play is for every day i.e. what time play commences for each session and which round is being played are listed to make it easier for you to follow, watch and/or attend this tournament.

Pictured above is Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon just after the contact point for the forehand where he is deftly creating space on a ball much closer to his body than he’d like to execute with precision and power. The 1.88m right-hander finished 2014 as the year-end World No.1 for the third time in the past four years (2011-12 and 2014).

Djokovic at 27-years-old is an 8-time Grand Slam singles champion. The Serbian extended his run to 5 years for winning at least one Grand Slam title a year with his triumphant performance at the Australian Open on 1 February.

Djokovic goes into Wimbledon 2015 with a 45-8 career record at SW19 and as the defending champion. Nole is looking for a third All England Club Championship title, after defeating both Roger Federer (2014) and Rafael Nadal (2011) in the finals.

The schedule of play for the 2015 Wimbledon Men’s Singles tournament is:

Qualifying event:

Monday 22 June: Qualifying 1st round at 10am;
Tuesday 23 June: Qualifying 1st round at 10am;
Wednesday 24 May: Qualifying 2nd round at 10am;
Thursday 25 May: Qualifying final round at 12 noon;

Main Draw:

Week 1:

Monday 29 June: Main Draw 1st round from 11:30am;
Tuesday 30 June: 1st round from 11:30am;
Wednesday 1 July: 2nd round from 11:30am;
Thursday 2 July: 2nd round from 11:30am;
Friday 3 July: 3rd round from 11:30am;
Saturday 4 July: 3rd round from 11;30am; and
Sunday 5 July: no matches on this day.

Week 2:

Monday 6 July: Round of 16 from 11:30am;
Tuesday 7 July: no men’s singles matches;
Wednesday 8 July: Quarter Finals from 11:30am;
Thursday 9 July: No men’s singles matches today;
Friday 10 July: Semi Finals from 1pm;
Saturday 11 July: No men’s singles matches today; and
Sunday 12 July: Men’s Singles Final at 2pm.

Please note that the tournament management can alter the schedule from day to day.
