ITF Tennis Girl’s Junior Singles Rankings

The current Top 10 Singles World Rankings on the girl’s world junior 18 and under rankings (known as the ITF Junior Rankings), as at 28 February 2011 are:

  2. 1,350.00 Daria Gavrilova from Russia – WTA rank No.481
  3. 1,027.50 Monica Puig from Puerto Rico – WTA rank No.429
  4. 1,010.00 EIina Svitolina from Ukraine – WTA rank No.498
  5. 965.00 Lauren Davis from the USA – WTA rank No.431
  6. 856.25 Irina Khromacheva from Russia – No.629
  7. 847.50 Zheng Saisai from China – WTA rank = No.341
  8. 777.50 Yulia Putintseva from Russia – WTA rank = No.608
  9. 725.00 Caroline Garcia from France – WTA rank = No.202
  10. 722.50 Ons Jabeur from Tunisia – WTA rank = No.637

The number prior to the player’s name is their ranking points total.

16-year-old An-Sophie Mestach won the 2011 Junior Australian Open singles title. By doing this Mestach earned 500 ITF Junior Ranking points. The 1.7m Belgian has a career-best WTA ranking of No.449 before she even turns 17 (on 7 March 2011). The right-hander uses a double-handed backhand and is pictured above about to move into the forward swing phase of this forehand drive at the 2010 Junior US Open.

The Top 10 junior girls are ranked higher on the women’s WTA Tour compared to how high the Top 10 junior boys are ranked on the men’s ATP Tour. The highest ranked junior girl on the WTA Tour is Caroline Garcia with a women’s ranking of No.202, whereas the Top men’s ranking amongst the Top 10 junior boys is No.653. The lowest women’s ranking amongst the girls Top 10 juniors is No.637, which is 16 places higher than THE top ranked boy. Two of the Top 10 boys have not earned an ATP ranking as yet and the lowest men’s ranking by a Top 10 junior boy is No.1,521.
