Japan Open 2010 Women’s Singles Results

The 2010 Japan Open women’s main draw singles matches began on Monday 27 September in Tokyo and will be completed over two days. The title sponsorship rights mean that the Japan Open is officially called the Toray Pan Pacific Open. We will keep you updated here at OCA by adding the results of matches on this post.

There are 24 matches to be played to complete the 1st round and the schedule has split 12 matches onto each of the first two days of the tournament.

In the 2nd round there will be 16 matches and that is when the Top 8 seeds will play their first match because the Top 8 seeds have a BYE in the 1st round. In this post we will update you with the results of the 1st and 2nd round matches with the scores and winners of each match.

Pictured above is 2009 Japan Open Women’s Singles quarter finalist Marion Bartoli midway through her service motion. The 25 year old from France will be looking to perform at a consistently high level of play over the next few weeks in an effort to qualify for the WTA Tour Finals.
