Singapore Tennis Lessons: The Tennis Balls

Why is there a smiley face on all your tennis balls?

Firstly, for my tennis training – I always bring all of the tennis balls.

Many years ago I started drawing a smiley face on my tennis balls. I named my ball with the smiley face “Happy Tennis Ball”. @happytennisball is famous on Instagram: over 11,000 followers and just one post! 😃🎾

Pictured on the left I had happy tennis ball face painted on my right cheek when at the Australian Open. Pictured on the right it what it looks like when I draw the smiley face on my tennis ball.
I always use happy tennis ball in the singular form even though all of my tennis balls have the smiley face marked on them.
I use the singular as one of the keys to success is to absorb into one ball at a time.
There a few reasons why I thought of drawing the smiley face on my tennis balls.
No.1 was a reminder to be happy and that happiness is the key. You have to be really happy first before you can consistently help others to be happy too.
A major goal for me the past 15 years is to be a “happiness leader”. I mean to be so happy, create so much happiness and live happy experiences that when I get to spend time with important people, that my happiness is so strong that they will really enjoying being with me and most importantly, have a radiant positive energy source in their life that they can fuel more happiness in themselves.
Drawing the smiley face on every tennis ball, re-touching the smile as it fades and seeing the smile all day when I am on the court is a very strong practice in bolstering happiness.
You really need to do what you love and be happy. Life constantly tries to break you. Build real and strong happiness so it is not knocked out of you, instead, you triumph with greater happiness in response.
